Family & Individual Support Services

Inspiring Abilities Creating Limitless Possibilities

BFAIR’s Family and Individual Support program provides a wide range of personalized services for people living independently in the community.

We are committed to empowering and supporting people with cognitive disabilities to advocate for themselves in important areas of their lives and to become fully participating members of their community.

We assist the people we serve by coordinating access to medical and dental care, monitoring health and safety needs, managing behavioral health, providing navigation tools for community services, and more.

In addition to providing support for people with cognitive disabilities, BFAIR also offers Family Support services. We promote informed choices by providing vital information for individuals and families about, as well as coordinating access to, available community resources. Offering community outreach opportunities also provide the families with respite while BFAIR staff support their loved ones to acquire social and adaptive skills to live as independently as possible in their community.

BFAIR’s Outreach staff provide people with cognitive disabilities with care, support, and ability to make personal choices and access to community opportunities such as:

  • Volunteer programs
  • Recreational and social activities
  • Health education
  • Focus groups
  • Networking
  • …and more
