Children & Adolescent Clinical Services

Clinical Services for Children & Adolescents with Autism

BFAIR’s Clinical Services for Children & Adolescents with Autism program provides intensive clinical services for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Disabilities, and Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities under the age of 22. Individualized wrap-around services are provided at school, in the home, and in the community. School staff and family training is provided. Specialized services include, but are not limited to, ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), Discreet Trial Training, Social Stories, Positive Behavior Intervention Plans, Sensory Integration training, and Functional and Augmentative Communication.

Access to information and education for families and professionals is a critical pre-requisite for the selection and delivery of the most effective, individualized, family-driven support services for children with Autism, Autism Spectrum Disorders and Developmental Disabilities. To meet this community need, in 2007 BFAIR opened an Autism Resource Center. Located in our administrative office building in North Adams, MA the Center makes available information on Autism and other Developmental Disabilities free of charge. Visitors have the opportunity to arrange a meeting with a BFAIR clinical representative if they have questions or need additional information. The Center provides a place in which BFAIR intends to offer workshops and lectures regarding a variety of topics related to autism.
